Alrite Man, if it is the front door cards you can just feed the wire through the "rubber tube" which runs into the door from the car near the hinge point. There is already wires running down that for the c/l an e/w if your lucky enough. Interference shouldnt be a problem here!

you can drill through the corner bit which is empty, and feed the wire through that

Take it this is for a 6N2?

You can do what Haris said, or actually disconnect the OEM wiring and connect your wiring to the plug.

Or for the wasiest option, and if your system isn't of astounding quality, just link your wire to the OEM wire further up the line.

What are you running?

I'd suggest Haris' method then, just be careful. there's alot of wiring there thet will c*ck right up if you disturb it.

annoyed

Post by gurdain »

hi everyone
been on these forums for a while researching but this is my first post
im running a nice jbl cs12 in my boot with an alpine amp
recently decided to change factory speakers
first i got fusion encounter coaxials which paired with the front factory tweeters sounded way too airy and lacked depth

i replaced them with fusion cm-65 components (yes, im a budget guy)
which are rated at 70watts rms.
spent ages with that pdf document taking off door panels and drilling a hole for the new tweeter, disconnected old tweeter and mounted crossovers and finished to find the sound is crap and doesnt go as loud as before

my question is - would an amp improve this and where would i mount a second amp since the wires from the door would need to go to the amp and then the output of the amp to go to each crossover

cheers
