Braided Brake Lines. (GB Feeler)

Post by Torq-Al »

Would anybody be interested in braided brake lines, went & saw an old mate of mine I havn't seen for about 5 years & he used to supply bespoke brake/fuel lines to me when I was competing in off-road motorsport.

Anyway the upshot of this is, I want to change my front hoses & if I provide a hose to create a template he can make as many as we want! He only really deals in the motorbike market, & does a massive amount of business from it, but he will always cater for small jobs!

The cost of a 3 line kit (for a 6n) would be around £30-35, depending on the amount of response I get. Plus P+P, would be less than £5, yet to cost it.

ANYONE INTERESTED?

Have got to make sure of fittings, if all 6n & 6n2 turn out to be the same, then bonus, roll out for 6n2 owners too!

Standard colour is like a clear/carbon look & then 5-6 other colours, have a look on www.h-e-l.co.uk for more info, believe me, you would not be dissappointed on the quality! You may think of Goodridge when you think of braided hoses, but these guys live them! And for Goodridge you will pay £40-45+ & then P+P.

GIVE ME FEEDBACK ON THE IDEA

If I get enough positive response, then i'll set it up on a group buy, more the merrier, & cheaper!

Again for info: HEL Brake Lines

For comparison here is venom's page for polo hoses, £70 plus p+p!
http://www.venommotorsport.com/product_ ... gory=Brake

Even direct from Goodridge they are £55 plus P&P! & cheapest on ebay is £45 plus P&P, so minimum saving is at least £10, if not more!

Never having too put another brake line on again! And better pedal 'feel'. Over time a normal rubber hose will start to 'slaken' & become more elastic, so you require a little more force on the pedal. Braided lines are more robust & do not deteriorate. Hence why used by fast road & race teams!

Hope that reads ok!
