HELP 1.0 6N2!!

Post by badassyas »

hi, i need help as this car is driving me nuts! the car is a 1.0 mpi ALD. its had a timing belt, full service (all genuine) and it was running a little lumpy. the throttle body was cleaned and it ran like a dream. all that was done after was a basic reset on th throttle body and since it refuses to hold idle, cuts out, wont rev, when you get it to rev there is so much hesitation, its undrivable. a new lambda has been in, a replacement throttle body in case the original was fried somehow, but that was cleaned but not aligned as the risk didnt want to be taken. no fault codes. the temperature says 90 degrees on the instrument cluster, the diagnostic software and from feel, its pretty much warm to say the least. can anyone shed light????

Have you replaced the temperature sender? Also have you taken off the throttle body and cleaned it all underneath (its a relatively simple task to do this)

Hey guys,

Just curious as to what the throttle body does?

I don't know if you noticed when you had a go in my car Alex, but when you rev it and pull away quick it sorta jumps then the revs drop.. if that makes sense?

Is that something I can fix or do I need to work on my clutch control??

Cheers :)
