thinking of getting racing brakes, has andone done this, i would like new disks and pads,if i get new fronts should i have the rear drums renued too. the brakes have all had about the same wear. i no that the drums would be replaced with standard shoes but the fronts im open to suggestions green stuff, re dot, tarrox etc?.cheers
There's no need to replace the rear drum linings if they're not worn, you wouldn't know the difference.
I'm running Zimmermann drilled discs with Pagid TQ pads, and I'm pleased with them. Having said that, I haven't tried anything else either (part from stock). Oh, and I don't push the car that hard either, or have a faster-than-stock engine. I fitted them 'cos the stock ones were worn...

whats that ment to mean?????
ive tried:
stock disks +stock pads
stoch disks +omp road and sport pads
omp 16 drill and 4 groovs disks + kevlar pads
omp 16 drill and 4 groovs disks + omp road and sport pads
omp 16 drill and 4 groovs disks + padgid blue pads
out of all theese combinations is prolly the last one which i fitted on monday night and they are very impressive and very affordable
if you get the brakes performing well you will prolly start to feel the rear end swaying from side to side when your hard on the anchors (when i noticed this i was on stock susp and then kw coils with a front upper strut brace fitted i cured this by fitting a lower front strut brace (omp iirc) to stiffen things up plenty (also acts like a belly pan)
