Lowering and Window tinting

Post by bouzel »

I'm looking to get my windows tinted and after looking around, i found a guy near gatwick who seems quite honest, but he uses 3M window tinting film and i don't know much about the quality of these films so if anyone could let me know what there like? whether they fade? or peel? Also he's only charging £100 promotion offer if anyone wants contact details let me know

Secondly im looking to get my car lowered and i can't decide between lowering springs and coilies plus i don't really have the money for coilies, but i was wondering if someone had a picture of there car lowered on springs plus what kind of drop to go for?
Many thanks

Make of tint shouldn't be a problem, so long as they make a good job of it!
Have a look at previous vehicles they've done.

Springs & Coils vs. Coilovers. Hmmm! Asked that one not so long ago, & it brings a mixed response. Have a read.... Which Suspension Set-Up?

Mainly down to what you want to spend & how low you ultimately want to go. Spring/shock sets start around £110 & go up to 350-400 for top of the range kit & coilies start around £160ish for hottuning ones on ebay (apparently the best value for money set below £300!), to over a grand. 50-60mm is a good drop on springs & coilies you can go 100+.

If you want a budget route, then get a spring set for around £50 & lower the car on standard shocks, although the maximum you can really go is 35-40mm without killing the shocks very quickly.

Hope thats helped you out a bit! :D

Not much more need to be said really. Coilovers aren't as expensive as you think. Budget ones are very good for the price. Have a look around at what kind of stance you like, I wouldn't go voer 60mm on shocks and srpings though.

Have a look at these Hottuning Coilovers, they're from Belgium, don't let that put you off! As if you hit the 'Best Offer' button & put an offer of £180, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

A set of new coillies for under 200 quid, delivered! :D

For the money they are excellent, plus a 2 year warranty. So can't be bad! :D

Yeh that's where I got mine from.

I dunno whether 6N ones fit the 6N2 or not, but there really is no point in trying to find out when you can get 6N2 ones for an equal price at no more effort.
