Just wondering whats the best way to sort out the tyre scrubing. i want to lower my polo also

your best option would be to get some smaller wheels. failing that lower profile tyres although it depends what you have already got.

The tyres that are on are 195 40 17s

they would need to be 193/35/17's to help eliminate the scrubbing.
The tyres are normally 195/45/15 which means it would be 195/40/16 and 195/35/17

50mm with 17" 205/45/17 tyres, got little scrubbing - and alot full lock with the front!

Yeh sorry to sound snobby but I don't need pictures to know it won't look right. I've seen many a 17" on a 6N2 and it just doesnt't work with the flow of the bodylines.
If your set on it as said before 195/35/17s would be the way forward. But i'd seriosuly consider a smaller alloy.
