Group buy Grille fitting

Post by charlievwp »

Well, got the new grilles from flyfs on Friday so got fitting them today.
What a mare! I wasn't keen on removing the bumper so tried (and managed) to wiggle/pull/heave them out from the front after prising the clips out of their slots! The fog grilles were fine but the centre one is a bit of a boogger! :x

Here is the out come anyway.....
I really need something to replace the fog holes though. Does anyone know if it is possible to just buy the lenses or a blank plate to fill them?

Sit on Ebay - for a long time, or get a price from vagparts - the lights will mount in the bumper frame. There might be a fitting guide on their site - there is one somewhere (oh - obviously!) for the 9N1 cars so not much difference for your car.

Just a thought. You might aswell actually fit some fogs. I did mine myself, cost me around under £100 and about an hour of my time..

search ebay.de for these kinda things:

grille and light: item no. 200252851505

wiring: item no. 120301841594

switch: item no. 310080557669

I got them for cheaper, but it varies, but those are the german names for everything.

I can give you some decent instructions on how to fit them if you get them! Just PM me..

I think grapo was selling his ones..

Also flyf is selling his car, so you might even be able to ask him for them..?

Here's the topic http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... c&start=30

I have a spare set going... 8)

Let me correct myself on the quote not available in Europe. They're not available anywhere except their origin China & due the hassle it took to get these.

I think its safe to say no one else will have these.

How do these look - doesn't look like includes any wiring/switches etc

eBay item
Is there a legal/mot rule that they would have to work if installed?
