The ones i've seen are either 2 or 4 bolt attachment on each front strut. Wouldn't be strong enough on 1 bolt per side!

Mk4 has a single suspension bolt sadly, however there are kits for the struts for mk4.

I think they bolt onto the studs you can see in the photo, two are used by the expansion bottle, so that would need resecuring. So very easy fit! (can see 3 studs each side you'd use.)

Ok after a research, depending on how your engine setup is... You can secure the strut to the existing holes should they fit with the supplied washer (Wether you have that or not I don't know!). Either that or its a drill job (although I wouldn't fancy or recommend drilling into the area where suspension is!).
