dump valve on a 1.4 tdi?

Post by brad mole »

im looking at getting a 1.4 tdi mk7 and was just wondering if there is any dump valves available, and would they sound any good.
i would only want it for the noise as i think they sound cool but i know nothing about them and what they can be fitted to, so could i get a decent sounding one for a 1.4 tdi? cheers and sorry for sounding like a right noob

A Diesel turbo does not run Vacuum. Its always in POSITIVE BOOST, Therefore a turbo cannot stall, meaning letting all the gasses out from the turbo, is going to do nothing other than increase the time it takes for the turbo to spool up.

You can get dumpvalves that are electronic controlled drom awesome and other sites am sure but no worth the cash and u lose power am sure!

Anyone feel free to correct me cos am no 100% sure.
