£30 fine, and given a MOT defect ticket, basically giving you so many days to put the proper plates on take it to a MOT tester, stamp the ticket and send it off, if you dont your Insurance Mot bla bla is VOID
Gotta say my mates have never had the last thing, they've just had £30 fines, but thats cause they have small bike ones on the front, me and my bro both run our polos with pressed (mine are un-banned, hius are banned) and we've not had any trouble touch wood, and near us is full of pigs.
Go to the following link http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/ and click on uk legal plates. They now supply pressed plates complying to the current BSAU145d standards. No dodgy spacing or markings allowed mind, but it will be nice next time you get pulled to tell them to go scratch.

That's what i'm gonna do in a week or 2 when i've got a few days off, go to carnoisseur in plymouth who are a dubmeister dealer to order some. Will look great!

they wouldnt be the same and the spacing gives it that look
im gonna get some i fink and keep swapping them with my originals every now and then
but if i get pulled im only going to use them as show plates

but I have never really been stopped. I have correct spacing with a font thats nearly uk style. Just dont drive like an idiot and you will be ok
