had a run in with a 182 tonight and on a stretch of dual carrigeway it was side by side till i got to 130 and i started going ahead by like a centimeter at a time and then backed off
my gti is totally standard at the minute
im getting it chipped by j hopefully in a couple of weeks will i be able to demolish my mate then?
and shut his mouth right up lol

Another 50+ bhp and he will be history...
but why not help me out.. get the Clio to come along aswell for some treatment.. I can make him to 195..
dont worry you will still be faster.. and you still have bags more potential for future tuning..

i raced a 182 in my polo and wiped the floor with him, was on a quick windy stretch!! The torque makes the differene

Oliverpologti - Clio 182 I would do for your mate at £200 - these are much more work - ecu has to come out for tuning.
Dont think he'd be too please if I detuned it though.. looooooool

also j my other mate has a 206gti not the 160 version on a 54 plate what could he get extra as i know hes thinking about a chip

arent the 206 gti's 138bhp and then there is a gti180 which is 180bhp?

Ollie - can make 206gti to 150+ hp with much better throttle response and better power delivery, etc, £200 ish

my mates just got a 182 clio and hates it i went out in it and there is no power till 5000rpm crap and i whipped him on a straight but, on the corners they stick like glue!

seconded, especially the trophy versions
i test drove a 182 with cup spoiler and suspension packs and as much as i loved the car, i hated how it drove, flat as a pancake until it was 2/3 way round the revs
where the mapped polos can pull silly hard from under 3k revs and are so much more torquey too
making it a great driving car
