Ive got a sportex backbox on mine, and its got sound but not to much imo, only thing i dont like about it, when im on m-ways it does hum, but thats me being picky cause i enjoy me sounds

But for general driving about its nice.

The reason some people prefer the cherry popper is so they can have the noise of a motor with a proper system, whih is a cheaper option.

You can properly do this using the right mods on the exhaust system but is costly and wouldn't pass an MOT. Having it doesn't insue you have an outright chavy car lol, depends on other mods too!

I put a supersprint backbox on mine and junked the resonator. Biggest mistake I ever made, granted it sounds nice when changing gear but other than that it does absolutely f&ck all. Will be changing it back to completely standard as soon as funds allow. We all know the polo is slow, so why try to make it sound faster (unless you have a 16v or GTi), you get every chav w**k trying it on.

by the way, just noticed the add doesn't specify what size the tailpipe is. if its 2.5" biggest then it'd still look ok depending on how you have it fitted.

Yeah, it aint a massive supra style exhaust, its about 2.5". It doen't look out of place put it that way. Ill get a pic for you.

I think what Dub_Jack is trying to say is the response is much better.

Having went to VW Players on Sunday, i saw a fair few mk4's with backboxes and exhaust systems, and they looked ok!!a huge 4" pipe would look shyte, but get the size right and it can be a nice addition to your car.

Keep it small, simple and don't let the pipe stick out too far from the bodywork. Having it sitting with the bumper cut out looks best whilst having it sit underneath makes it look tacky for some reason
