Hi i am new to this forums and this is my first post.
My bro past his test on friday yay. He has a W reg polo, and he has found a problem.
When he is going up hills( there are alot of hills around us ) and the car is below 2000 revs it kind of bunny jumps, it doesnt have to be a big hill it can be the smallest degree of a hill. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or know's the cause of this, and if so how it can be fixed.
Thanks in advance.
HELP
OK thanks man, i will tell him to do so, although it wont be this weekend because we are going to our other brothers weddingadummy wrote:i got a W reg 1.4 and had this problem too
i cleaned the throttle body and air filter on the car and it cleared it
problem could be all sorts i suppose but its always worth doin the two things above
Yeah i do plan on sticking around, as far as modding he wants to but has no job and has just realised how much petrol he uses when he rags itkipper wrote:do u plan on sticking around on this forum or was it just this post?
if he wants to modify it then i guarantee u will not find another group of people that can help u as much as the ones on this forum.
the only regret i have about signing up to this forum is that i didnt do it earlier.
So he has no income and no money for petrol but when he gets himself a job the lazy git im sure he willl start to mod his polo into a pimp mobile
do u know if the car has had n e work done to it? liek clutch gear box etc.
have a look at the common mk5 problems sections and it'll give u an idea as to wat he can look forward to if it hasnt happened.
for example, ive owned my mk5 for about 4 and a half years and so far ive had:
gear box rebuild
engine rebuild
new clutch
new battery
new brake pedal switch
new speed sensor
new temperature sensor
luckily my cousin is a mechanic so hes done most of the work like the big stuff. some small stuff like the brake pedal switch u can do urself as i did.
dont let this put u of tho, u wont necessarily have these problems tho just cause i did.
but the polo is still a nice car to drive even after modding it and adjusting the ride height and bouncyness etc.

It won't put him off by any means, dont worry, he will almost drive it till deathkipper wrote:do u know if the car has had n e work done to it? liek clutch gear box etc.
