Im about to get my coilovers fitted BUT i currently have 195/50/15s which i know are not the bst size to have when on on coilies.
my question is whats the best tyre size to fit to give a nice stretch look- i was thinking 185/50 or 175/50 if you can get them.
also from a safety POV ive been told that strecthed tyres are unsafe? is there any truth in it?
appreciate all your help guys-

195/50s will send out the speedo. It should be 195/45s on a 6-7inch rim for accuracy
Stretched tyres can be dangerous depending on the stretch...basically if you go round a corner too fast, the tyre can flex so much itll seperate from the rim - not good!

I think what Alex is saying is that the more you stretch the more careful you need to be in the corners.
If you have minimal stretch you should get the good looks but still manage to stick it into the bends!

Exactly. 7s you could do a 165/50/15 if you want some serious stretch. My RH Cups came on that...it looked good...but i had to get rid of it as i just didnt feel safe!

15X7s - get 165/50s mate. They look awesome. And there's far worse stretch out there.
