Did my oil and filter change again but fitted my new ECS magnetic drain plug its a really strong magnet picks up the old drain plug ha ha

all that went smoothly as always, but like i said b4 the coolant is leaking from the radiator at the bottom NS of the car so ill be booking it into the dealers tomo, also when they fitted a new g/box mount a few months back i saw one of the bolts was loose only in a couple of threads!!!! Imagine if it had come out all the others would be under more stress and could have snapped!

Why did they fit a gearbox mount? Symptoms? I think mine is shot.

I've got one of those ecs plugs too, got to see on the next oil change what its caught. When you did you filter change how did you get to it to remove it and what'd you use to remove it?

I think that flyfs6 was asking "exactly how did you reach the filter etc" - I'll let you answer that one! I seem to remember having no problem the first time (1.4 16v 75ps) - but every time since thinking "there must be an easier way of doing this". For the record, I tend to loosen off the filter using a socket+very short extension+ratchet.

you remove the little engine tray to get to the filter underneath, three torx bolts either side slide it out, them use some big grips to loosen the oil filter and then remove by hand, to refit oil the new filters seal and refit by hand making sure it is really tight!Refit the cover and your done!
