Anyone put any surggestion forward for some decent comps for front and an amp to amp them up to.

Arite mate. To be honest if your looking at buying new gear, £120 wouldn't get you alot in terms of components and a suitable amp. With this budget it only leaves say £60 for components, a price range that has not many speakers that will sound good seperately amped.
If I was you, I'd spend the £120 on a nice set of components, and run them off the HU for now. It'll mean you can wear the speakers in whilst saving up for an amp.
For £120 you could get something like these:
