i remember watching that Schumacher-De La Rosa incident. i was sooo annoyed at the time (hardcore Mclaren fan) but, after the race, not a whisper was spoken of it.
But, you may say he gained an advantage. But at the time, the rules did not state that the offending car had to wait until after the next corner before they could re-launch an overtaking maneuver.
I know its only rules, and thats what the investigation has concluded, but i wished they'd just looked at it in the context of the race. Raikkonen was slow, much slower than Hamilton. Raikkonen, actually gained the lead back before spinning himself, handing lead back to Hamilton, before Raikkonen finally binned it. Therefore the 'chicane cut' had little to do with the final outcome of the race...to tell the truth, i got back from work and saw this race on record. i fell asleep in the middle part, but woke up just when it began to rain. i saw some of the most exciting racing in F1 i'd ever seen before.
Although, if it's excitement you want, then watch a BTCC race (end of season now tho) cos the racing is so so entertaining. And they all spin eachother off and hit one another, but yet nothing happens. in F1 a tire might scrub another and there is a criminal investigation into it.
I was completely shocked to hear that in Valencia, Alonso was fined over £9000 for crossing the pit entry line in PRACTICE!
i think the FIA needs to grow up.
