Sluggish

Post by bouzel »

I'm currently working on my friends polo as i have the 6N2 1 litre and his car 6N really struggles to keep up and his is the 1.4 version, now i've done a major service on it, exhaust sounded a bit off and changed the whole thing including the cat it's all helped but it still doesn't have that pull like mine, it's done 99,000 miles and hasn't been looked after to the best condition.

Secondly the ball joint on the gear shaft selector is it meant to fall out or does it stay in because there is absoloutley no resistance on it at all and there is quite a lot of play in the gears.
Many thanks

Probably stating the obvious... but the timing belt was changed on mine and it made it a bit nippier... you never know.. with that much mileage.. it might have a few teeth missing n the timing belt!!!
