Ro55GTi - sagaris was asking for advice not abuse !

sagaris - you should really tell your insurance company about any mods.

but I know that most dont - purely because a remap alone is not the easiest thing for an insurance company to see... if you have hardware mods then they are easily spotted - so they could dig deeper...

renewal time is best to declare everything cos then you can pick a suitably sympathetic insurer - like noel dazely or adrian flux, etc - i've had customers save money on their premiums after a remap - just because they make the effort to find the right insurer...

I think what Ro55GTi was getting at was that people dont want to declare on here that they havent declared to their insurance company... he just could have put in nicer......

i know cos insurance companies look on forums for info on cars etc!! so be carefull when posting pictures etc!! :D
