wheel adapters

Post by adummy »

with wheel adapters can you use them the opposite way round?

for example: if you have 4x100 to 5x100 adapters could you also use them to adapt 5x100 to 4x100???

yeh they are the same design

how come you cant use them the opposite way round?

is it because the 5 stud are a different size hole and im guessing they have been tapped?

and the 4 stud are just straight through?

3 allen key bolts bolt into the hub from the spacer, then 4 standard bolts bolt the wheel to the spacer. A final bolt then goes directly through the wheel, spacer and into the hub.

Adapters don't reverse as far as I'm aware. And I'm not sure if they even sell adaptors that down size. It's pretty unsafe!
