Newbie...How Low on 16's?

Hi all im Jay, im a newbie, i drive a mk4 polo 6n 1.6 glx. Ive just bought mk3 ibiza cupra alloys for it, but when i put them on, the car looks like its on hydrolics lol, and i wanted to know how much can i drop the car by, and if its better to go with coilies or springs/shocks. ?

Hello Jay, Welcome to uk-polos! :D

If you're not sure with the height you want to drop then go for a set of coilovers, as you can find the perfect height that you want. Springs/shock set ups can go from 40-80mm & will give a slightly smoother ride then coillies. However as already said coillies will go from 20-120mm, dependant on make.

For a cheap, tho' good, set of coillies have a look on ebay for the hottuning make. For £150-160ish (best offer!) you get something that is allegedly as good as any sub 300 quid set of coilovers!

thankyou :D but you know when the coilies are fitted, will i have to get the tracking done? and how much will it cost to get it done?

Yep, you'll need to get the camber and tracking done, expect to pay bettwen £30-50.
