horn on steering wheel

hi, i've got an x reg polo, the horn doesn't work but i know its due to the steering wheel not making proper contact. my question is does the front cover of the wheEl just simply prize off with brut force or is there another way to remove it, it has an airbag by the way. your help will be grateful. many thanks
