HELPPPP !! oil light is flashing but no idea why !!!!!

as above however the oil level is fine and got the car scanned for codes however nothing has come up. anyon got a idea of what it could be?also its not on constanly and when it comes up theres a buzzing sound for a couple seconds.

anyone got an idea of what could be causing this???

hmmm, could be oil pump, as normally comes on for oil pressure meaning there isnt any so iam guessing your oil pump is foobard,

When does the oil light come on? what RPM? what speed etc?

i would say about 2000-3000 revs, not sure on the speed

id say its your oil pump mate, is there not any garages around near you that can check your pressure? get a compression test aswell,

oh and if it is your oil pump i would get it checked ASAP as oil wont be getting around the engine!
Whilst your engine is warm, leave on tick over and take the oil filler cap, can you see any oil in there being chucked about??

The oil pressure sensor switch is quite prone to going wrong. Not saying that this is your problem but it's a strong possibility.

They are relatively cheap - Â£10 from VW and very easy to change.

yh got the sensor changed yesterday, hopfully solved the problem.
