hi everyone ive just bought a set of hid's from hids4u, i was just wondering if there are any tips on fitting them, as ive heard they are pretty hard to fit and you have to modify your lights slightly, also the beam patterns are supposed to be hard to keep accurate, so any tips from anyone?
They are dead easy to fit mate all you need to do is drill a 21mm hole in the rubber seal on the back of the light, everything else is straight forward. If you need a hand mate I aint too far from Newcastle
ahh thats cool mate, you could give me a hand sometime then maybe, i could possibly come along and meet you somewhere or something, i will give you a pm when i decide to fit them lol
Yeh they're not hard to fit at all. As Chewy said, hardest part is finding a good place for the ballasts. The kit I had required a 25mm drill hole, not 21mm? Which ever one you need, make sure you buy it. No point in cutting corners, they're cheap from ScrewFix and B&Q.
right, recieved them today, it says 25mm in the instructions i think so should i go ahead with that? also, anyone free right now who can help me fit them lol, i dont wanna f**k it up lol

gutted lol, not much help
does anyone know if i should connect the HIDS with the beams pointed right down, or up, or in the middle? (when i say beams pointing i mean the thing which adjusts the level from inside the car)
so when i plug the lights in, will they only go in at one angle and one position, or can they be put in the holders whong? lol sounds silly but i havent a clue and dont wanna get it wrong

They should go in fine. Although on the 6N2 full beams you have to reverse one of the mounts. Basically on xenon bulbs, the metal strip faces down. You'll know what I mean when you look at the bulb.
right i have just fitted, them, or at least attempted anywa, they come on as blue and die down after 10 seconds or so to a yellowy/standard looking colour, i bought the anti glare 8000k ones from hids4u and cost £210.
everything went ok up until i had to actually fit the new hid bulb in the light, it didnt seem to go in securely, anyone able to help me on this?
im new to the forum, hopefully here to stay for a while. got a polo sport tdi a couple of months ago, just in the process of trying to fit some hid's. do i need to take the headlights out as i cant get anywhere near the driver side bulb. also how does the bulb stay in place a i did not see a clip on the back of the bulb.
thanks for your help, i will get some pictures posted over the weekend.
