if so then f**k that for a giggle heads need to be roled with that kind of service, even if its under warranty that kind of s**t shouldnt happen. they must have let the work experience boy fit it or something!!

its ok as the suspension not connected to that system if you get me, brakes wheel bearings ball joints etc are not covered due to the coilovers! Get this they rang me this afternoon, saying"its ready all sorted" got there and they had cable tied the electric waterpump to the radiator cowling
i just laughed and said are you taking the p1ss
!!! I was fuming, they said new mounts were needed as the tech cut em so he could cable tie em on!!! I thought are these people for real!!! Gave me a free car on loan and the tyre was flat!!!! Then swapped for another only to find it was empty no fuel!!! This dealer network takes the p1ss and i was even in my AA uniform probably more skilled than all them in the garage put together!!
Rang VW cutomer care and have out in a full complaint, if this is how it is everytime i go in 4 warranty ill be changing to another make!

Chris - thats so upsetting and annoying... you must be tearing your hair out.... grrrrr
I have had customers go to VW Dealers when the engine light comes on only to be told that it is the remap to blame !!!
They cant be arsed/haven't got the little bit of skill required to find the little problem..
So I tell customer most likely problem so they can tell VW.... eventually they find the split or leaking hose or whatever...
I've done a few Mk4 Golf GTIs recently that required hardware fixes before the remap, one customer last week had been to two local garages ( not VW this time) to fix an intermittent running problem... one garage said car is perfect no problems... other just scratched their head not sure if it was right or not.... so I tell the customer just drive up the 80 miles and we fix then remap... Customer in my car park for 5 minutes and I show him the big hole in a breather pipe... and show him that his DV is completely shot... within a couple of hours we had been to VW for the breather, fitted it, fitted Forge fmcl007p, and also identified and fixed a throttle body problem... oh and also remapped the now working car.
The last time I went to a Dealer was to take my Audi A4 2.5tdi Cabriolet for a service whilst under warranty... the bill was like £360 quid... for a service which took a couple of hours
that was the last time....
