Post by Tonypayne111 »

Hi ive put some nice fox racing alloys on my mk4 polo but unfortunatley they are 16 inch and when i am close to full lock they rub on the inside of the wheel arch. Any body know of anything i could do to prevent this happning? thanks

Welcome to the site mate. What tyres are you running on them?

You need to find out the size of them mate. It says on the side, for example 195/40/16.

It sounds like they are too big though, you'll be wanting a smaller profile tyre, 195/40/16 is normally the preferred option, but it depends on your wheel width also.

As expected you have 195/45/16's which are the usual size for 16's.

However, for a polo it isn't so you need 195/40/16 and your sorted.

There's nothing you can really do mate, changing tyre size is the best and easiest option. They'll look alot better too.
