First post: wheel bearings

Post by ourkidsam »

Hello - just joined up

Polo mk 5 is just down the garage now, new tyres and brakes which I knew about and a wheel bearing which I suspected. They're saying I should replace both bearings at the same time cos the other one might go - is this right?

Secondly it's got about 90k on the clock now, recently the engines got noisier, like a loud ticking that gets faster with revs - what's that likely to be (so I'm prepared for hat the garage say!)

Welcome to the site mate. I didn't replace both wheel bearings when i had my rear passenger one done. Just get the one done, if the other goes (Can't see why it would), just get that done seperately. It'll take just as long both ways, just two sittings instead of one, no price save.
