whats everyones plans for thecoming few months?

Post by Jeff GTi »

as above really, whats everyone got planned for their cars over the next few months, or what haveyou done but not mentioned

for mie i have fitted a front centre armrest from arm rests uk, and its spot on, really good bit of kit, slides forwards and back, folds out of the way if required and is height adjustable, not forgetting the massive starage compartment intide it

i have adopted the winter look on the outside, black vinyl'd front vw badge, monzas are back on and the plate behind the rear badge i have vinyl'd too leaving the badge chrome

in the next 4 weeks my car is booked in to premier car trim for a full interior doing, as iv fallen out of love with the leather in the car now, its not great quality and its all saggy,

the full car is going to be re trimmed in black nappa leather with the 4 centre pannels on each seat done perforated, it will be double top stitched in red and the doorcards sone to match(stitching and scheme), the top part of them done perforated nappa, and the lower half plain nappa

the headrests and parcel shelf will also be leathered with nappa and stitched to match too

this will leave me just parts on the dash and the inside left and right pannels inside the boot to have done early next year if i decide to do so

so whats everyone else up to

Sounds great Jeff, can't wait to see the results, should look very classy.
Do you have any pics of the armrest, I'd be interested to see what it looks like. I'd always heard alot of the aftermarket ones for the polo felt cheap and rattled alot. But yours sounds good.

I've just put my BBS CV's on with toyo rubber 8) on my 1.2
Needs a spot of colour coding and lowering. Hopefully to be done before or in and around Christmas time - funds permitting!!

i've not got a newshape polo but my coilies are going on on saturday, which i'm still undecided what to do about the helper springs. i want to go low, but practical low, lol and i've been told to take the front helper out and then it will not be too low but nice. and at the back just as low as they'l go but don't take the adjusters out as it's then very low.

jeff you not wanna swap seats? mine are just the sports seats but if your putting leather on them will be the same as yours? bit of cash your way obviously? ;)

I'm down at Uni so coilovers have been slightly raised and the Monzas are back on.

Would be willing to sell my BBS RW's , Polo dune wheels, with Toyo tyres but logistics is a bit of a problem with them being in London and me being in Cornwall!

Cool , like the sound and look of the arm rests.
What colour did you get Jeff, and how much are they?
I would love one but would consider getting the top part recovered in dk grey with red top stitching.
Do you have any pics of it in your car?

white polo, my car is already stripped down ready to be trimmed at premier and the existing leathers been removed, so would be of no use to you now

thanks for the offer though

as for my armrest, no, i dont have any photos and its black with black leatherette top black stitched, so will fit in nicely to my newly trimmed baby

kenny, plans sound good, 31000 mles already, jesus thats a lot mate haha

kc, project sounds good too
