Who got the strongest/biggest engine in a Polo?

Post by MiWi »

I belive that we are missing a tread here!

Talk about:

Bigger engine swaps (engines from Golf,Audi etc down under the bonnet on Polo)

Insane projects

Your own experience

Polos from other parts in the world with much HP/big engine.

What engines are possible to fit in a Polo?

You could fit any engine ever made into a polo.... How about an Audi RS6 engine?...... Now THAT would be interesting..

All comes down to how much money and skill you have!

I'm almost quit sure that the world's most "powerfull" streetlegal mk4 (in BHP & Torque) is already posted up on this forum

Yeh that thing;s niice, just noticed is has a TT dash too!

There's also that silly dual engined, roof chopped 6N. that struggles to keep in a stragiht line though.

It's all about a comprimise. You can have the most powerful engine in the world in a car, but if it can't get the power down it's useless.

Jarno loves that guy lol.

Don't blame him. But that guy must be loaded. How much does a TT dash swap cost?

you cna pick the dash up for a few hundred, then just depends on how skilled you are I guess! it would be a fair amount of work. alot of rewiring as you'd be using the TT dials.

That's the mk4 from the spanish company, Lupo Autosport I thought was the name. Kind of funny, the owner's last name is Lupo, but he drives a Polo

That drives 2 Suzuki GSX-R1000 engines, which can be either operated simultaneously, or individually, so he can drive it front-wheel, rear-wheel or 4 wheel. Only downside of it is, that it isn't streetlegal, it doesn't have a license plate, so you can't "play around" with it on the German Autobahn for instance  (no Porsche-killing possible :( )

i've seen a demo of it on the net, and it made mince meat of 4 tyres in about 30 seconds just razzing about in circles. powerful looking machine!

Can it shift though? I could just imagine it wheel spinning alot

I honoustly don't know, all movies I've seen of this car are indeed always of it just burning rubber, not driving at all. Maybe it doesn't even have a gearbox, and was just made for burning the tyres at demo's. Then I'd rather see the orange mk4 with rearwheeldrive, the Dutch one that was featured in Performance VW last year. Even though that isn't streetlegal, it can drive normally, and shift gears, which could potentially make it a wolf in sheeps-clothing, but unfortunately you'll get pulled over too fast by the police without a license-plate

Polo VR6
Polo with 2-liters 16v from Golf III GTI
Polo with either G40/G60 engine

...and so on. Not a tankengine! :)

I aint dumb, but looking for something that are i quite bit funnier than the original GTI-engine in mine (will put it into my old 1-liters Polo instead).

I want to have something of those three (four) engines i presented in the beginning.

Maximum power... Around 200 BHP.

Come on,someone here most have don a such swap?
