2.5" Downpipe+Decat
Had it fitted yesterday 2.5" and no cat, connected to my straight through cat back which i had already, now it boosts alot harder to the red line with none of that annoying pause halfway through boost and pops now and again!! I would recommend it if you have a remap makes the world of difference! Dunno bout on a standard system but with full system its great and now sounds mint! Only downside was one of the studs snapped in the turbo so thats gunna have to come off at a later stage to have it drilled out
but its not blowing so ok 4 now !!

ill bet its loud haha
mines got the resonated milltek and is loud enough, but i know what you mean, sounds growly as fook with the better flow
interesting you mention a pause half way through? i would imagine this would be more a software issue? iv personally never experienced a pause pre and post exhaudst mods

LOL it is loud, always thought the sort of pause was due to the map being aggressive! It kicks in hard but spools too quickly if you get me so the ecu was holding back the spike if im right then leveling out!thats why when i fit the J valve it kept limping as it is aggressive without it! Its a good map for the price i paid!
But stage 2 next i might go custom code or revo dunno! Ill post video of exhaust when i can dont wanna wake the neighbors !! Plus with no cat it stinks!! Defo pulls sooner and harder but now intake temps go through the roof when i drive it hard for long periods eg on the back roads! Intercooler needed next!!

whitepolo - you have very aggressive map in there - in terms of boost and timing...
the ecu can pull back because of too much difference between requested and actual boost.. and because of too much knock...
so even if you use the diode mod (and having it work correctly) to disguise the boost - too much boost will still equal too much knock..
so the ecu pulls back again... its favourite trick is closing the throttle flap.
how the exhaust flows can make a difference to how the wastegate reacts so spikes are not so spikey - no exhaust gases backing up..
the aggressive maps asks for everything the car can give and more - so from the line the car is full on and very fast..I have had some fun with that map.
Its already effectively at stage 2 - the spikes make 1.4 bar boost and settle to 1.2 ish..
Lately I have been using a smoother more progressive map - not as fast low down - but then less wheel spin - and constant building power.
Chris - sort the cooling and I get you something mental especially for you...

cheers j, it is really good now with the exhaust mod, but seems to run out of that grunt higher in the rev range if you get me, but when i was giving it large the other night the higher gears 4 and 5th lost that kick, i put it down to intake temps as the intake manifold was red hot!! But when it cooled down it was boosting really well again!
