:D Like Dilbert, I currently only do it when the MPG starts to suffer (or the MPH, but it's hard to tell :D). When it gets warmer, a bit more often - gave it the first handwash for a couple months last week (had a single machine wash, with chassis scrub for the salt, in between), and really went to town getting it all off and shined properly. Though I still haven't got my head around this "wax" concept.
Maybe should have done it a little more often to avoid aggravating the rust, but the recovery from *that* seems to be going ok. Just need to try and wet'n'dry / rubbing solution* it into a nice blend next week and maybe use one of those decent and non-scratchy T-cut alternatives to get it all looking better when the rest of the touch ups are done (what were they again? :) )

* funny... I think the cleaning stuff I got from Halfords to *prep* for the painting may be rubbing compound on the sly. Thought it was just isopropyl alcohol and propellant, but found it was good to solve out any over-paint with the blue highlights when doing the trims - and in desperation to fix some dried-on primer bodywork overspray (only noticed when the masking came off, 2 days later - thought I *might* have overdone it so masked a lot further before using the top coat) gave it a douse with that and a good rub. Almost all of it came off, and judging by the previously clean cloth, a little of the underlying OEM paint too...
