Need another fob and key - dealers confused me!
Bought a 04 Twist for my daughter, came with a Meta fob and a separate VW key. Now I need to buy another set and the existing fob's case handle is broken. Where can I buy a spare, the dealer who the previous owner bought it from thought the Meta fob was added post sale? I guess it would cost a huge amount to have a VW key programmed so it is all on one key? Does anyone know if these cars were sold from new with both key and fob? The fob remotely opens and closes the car and opens boot. Thank you!

Right, I think that you should have posted this in the MkVI section - that will be why you are being ignored (sorry!). In answer to your question, and this is just a guess, it could be that the 04 Twist was only sold standard with manual central locking - that would explain why you have a separate key and fob. Now it also could be that it was even an aftermarket "outfit" that upgraded this car to remote central locking - so the original dealer and this dealer would know nothing about where to source a new fob. Maybe you should try to contact the original owner to source that information. On the other hand, I've heard that there are "e" traders that can sell replacement aftermarket fobs - maybe search the internet for that info. Also maybe repost this but this time in the MkVI section for better responses.
