Well my sidelights arent working, but only the fronts, the back lights are working fine.
All other lights are working (dip beam, indicators etc....)
When parking lights are on again only the back lights come on (for both sides)
I've got FK headlights in atm, so i plugged in my standard VW ones and the sidelights didnt work either.
Checked the fuses and they seem ok
Anyone got any ideas??
Thanks
Sidelights arent working

This might sound like a stupid suggestion (and it might be), but it just could be the main light switch - seems that they are a bit problematic and seems that they can indeed cause crazy illogical failure of sidelights - VAG are not alone, my wife's Fiesta 1.6SI used to lose its tail lights while keeping the front side lights and headlights on - the only indication was that the instrument lights would also be out (FORD = Fix Or Replace Daily). This failed twice and as I ranted to Ford by letter they used to refund the cost of a new switch - well that kept me quiet!
Found out the problem was a relay. Cost me £47 to get it fixed and the bit that was replaced looked easy to do and could of probably done it myself. Im now £47 down
These FK lights have been nothing but trouble. Cost me a fortune in bulbs and now this. Was thinking about swopping to me old lights, but i might aswel keep them for a bit longer seen as ive had to pay to get parts repaired.
Just for the record, how much would a relay cost normally??
