Well that was the quickest delivery ever! Ordered it on monday night, so ppl at Awesome GTI wouldnt of got it till tuesday mornin, then door bell rang and its here! :)

Anyway and tips on fittin this cos it look a right c***!!! :?

Hopefully my replacement APR R1 come today been a bit of a sagga! Then a need to get ma hands on a N75J valve :evil:

There are some rigid pipes bolted to the block... remove the bolt so they move... and the tip slides in much easier...

you will see what I mean when you start the job..

follow this guide.... it is for golf 1.8T but works perfectly ...takes one hour..

No Probs Kenny... I followed those instructions and was easy.... getting the bottom of the tip onto the turbo is really easy from under the car... dont make it difficult and do it all from above ;-)

yes - it has been a very rainy year..

I just got a new unit so I can do all tuning inside..... dont like all this rain and soon it will be very cold...

Update is am havin a fukin nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Canna get the cooling pipework braket off!!!!??? So canna get the forge TIP on at the turbo cos its too tight?? Plus need ma car for tomorrow mornin to get wheels done!

allen key and a long bar from a socket!

you getting the right one? the one attached to the block under ish the recirc valve!?

great fun aint they, i started mine at ten am and finished about 7 pm, was a ball ache, had to do mine from above though, no access to ramps

Ave got acsess from under the car and it was still a fuker! Never goin near it again! Takin me the same amount a time, when a managed to get the hose on at the turbo and started to connect everythin at thoe top then a remembered the wee hose to connect at the bottom! Went to push the hose onto the wee spiget and it pushed itno the TIP itself!!!! :cry:

thats a b4stard feel for you kenny, that kind of thing happens to me nothing goes smoothly!!! Hope its not broken??!! It helps if you lube things with wd40 or bit of grease etc to help things slip on!! :wink:

What a day! Manages to get it back out and fix it. Cant believe you done this without any accses from underneath! Just remembered a forgot to put that U shaped sheild back on! Am a ok havin this off, got to 15 mins journeys to make to the alloy refurb unit and back :?

Yeah its all on and secure ( i hope) am honestly totally exhausted, felt ave ran a marathon! :( Am gonna be sore the morra from workin under that car, can feel it already!
