OEM Shark Fin Aerial modified to work with pre 2005 VW's

Post by Mike_M »

I have sold a few of these on various forums (crafted from all original parts) and can have one ready for delivery. They are newly converted sharkfins to work with the Lupo/Polo and other similiar aged VW's.

Its a Mk5 Golf aerial taken apart and rebuilt with other parts inside, to work with the previous generation of VW/Audi etc

Here it is in its final modified form

and here is mine after I colour coded it

Reception is good but not as good as the original aerial but find its fine in mine (some use boosters to help and reported perfect reception)........its a compromise between style and functionality to be honest and I have no complaints with it like others that have bought them from me.

I sell them for £40 + £3 recorded delivery unless you pick it up from Bournemouth

:)

As mentioned.........these are converted items guts and all, not just the connectors to work with pre 2005 VW's.

Should be a straight swap, but if you want to be sure just look at your connector and see if it matches the black one in the top picture ;)

That part is where your bee sting aerial screws into, to help reception when placed above the roof lining
