new member... hello!

Post by adm »

Hi folks,

Just ordered a new Polo, taking delivery in a week or two, looking for info & advice on it. New to the VAG scene, so don't have a clue on websites etc to get bits from.

Name's Adam from north east o Scotland, I've just traded in my 2.2 turbo diesel v6 merc for a new 1.2 polo lol, mad? Ach, needed a small runner to go to/from work and for other half learning to drive in.

It's a standard 1.2 Match 60 3door in black, got some ideas on what to do to it already:

- gti or similar grille
- audi rs4 wheels 17"
- tints
- gti skirts maybe
- backbox of some sort
- suspension, been told to get coilovers, duno i may be happy with just springs or shocks n springs.

so... Hello there! :)

oh, got no pics of polo yet but once its in I'll be giving it a full detail and the obligatory photoshoot afterwards.

Welcome along Adam. Looking forward to seeing it!

Sounds like you have a few plans in mind already and i'm sure you'll find the forum handy for getting any info you need.
As for sites to use; it really depends what you're looking for. I find this a good one www.vagparts.com and a lot can be found on eBay. But keep an eye on the for sale section in here as bits pop up there too.
