Post by clarkson »

if i took the carpet out of my car and put it in a big inflatable swimming bath full of black dye, would it die the carpet properly and would it look good??

Surely new carpets would be cheaper than a paddling pool of black dye...

Why not just get either a new one, or glue on a new cloth on your old one, doesn't cost that much and woudl give good result, planning to do this myself this winter :D

they are a dingy grey, but i found a special car carpet dye kit, whey you sponge it on or spray it on.

i was looking at new ones but dont know where to start as i couldnt find ones for polos that can be made. all i found were ones for golfs luppos,

would normal black cloth do it, as in cover the grey properly??

Don't dye it mate. Your asking for trouble. It's hard to get a solid even coat, it smells and over time it'll wear off.
