Aunty Roll Bars ;P

I want to fit an anti-roll bar to my 6n 8v to try and improve its handling. What I want to know is can I pick up one of these second hand at the breakers? If so were they fitted to the 16v / 6n2 or particular engines and is it a straight swap to my 6n?

Hi mate. I have a 6n polo 1.4 16v and it does have an anti roll bar fitted as standard, im sure all 16v have them not sure if the 1.6 6n models have them too, I would look for one from a scrappers if i were you. Not sure on the fitting side of things im afraid mate.

All 6N 1.6 engined and 16v's & all diesels have anti-roll bars. Try to get one from a mk5 gti though, there 2mm thicker then the mk4 (or you should get your hands on a mk4 gti one from germany)

Even better, get one from Eibach, as I did, those are 24mm thick handles like a true maniac now

For real? Kind of doubting that they will stay clear of the chassis when you got a well lowered car though. Hopefully they suplly you with new bushing too, you have no idea what a pain in the .... it was to get that Eibach into the bushings

Ivw got a 6n2 GTI antiroll bar, needs abit of paint but that doesnt affect it, Cost me about £115 with my staff discount, i cant remember if ive got all the fixings still, PM me if your intrested

Jarno - They are listed for the Ibiza 3/golf 2 chassis, probably why you couldn't find them.

I assure you they fit though.

Well, I did found those, but as the mk5 rearaxle/beam does not fit a mk4 chassis (I don't know why, but I doesn't fit) so these anti-roll bars will also probably not fit either on the mk4 rearaxle/beam.
I myself have tried to fit a mk5 rearaxle/beam on a mk4 (onto the bi-turbo powered mk4 of my m8s) and it didn't swap, therefor the Ibiza 6K Cupra rearbeam is the only option with an integrated corsion-bar (that does swap over, which is strang compared to the mk5 not being swappable)
