Amp Advice

Post by stani540 »

Hey guys was just wondering if you could hewlp me with a little audio advice i know i dont earn a mk5 any more but other forums just arent as useful as you guys!

I have a mk3 ibiza and you cant fit an aftermarket hu to them (easily) so im wanting to amp up my speakers to make the standard hu better and i was just wondering if anybody could give me some advise on what amp to buy!

I want a 4 channel, and atleast 50 watts RMS per channel but thats about as far as my knowledge goes!

I want one thats affordable as im not looking to spend alot! definitley under £100 under £70 would be good

been looking at the:

JBL GTO 6000 - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /1180.html
Blaupunkt GTA 460 - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Blaupunkt-GTA-460 ... 240%3A1318
Sony XMZ R604 - http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product ... -23296.htm

What do you guys recon? as i say i know nothing really! any advice would be great

all im going to do is run a set of components off it and a set of rear speakers also

cheers

James

Mate if you want awesome quality you have to get a JL!!

there is one on edition38 a JL 300/4! 4x75w rms per channel

I want this amp so bad but I don't have the money :(

It's a bit more than your budget, but it will be worth it trust me!

Btw these retail for around £450! so a bargain really!

I'd go with either JBL or the blaupunkt.

I'm swaying towards the JBL, as they are supposed to be very good for a budget brand!

Sony are s**t for car audio end of.

They all look like pretty safe bets. I'd probably go with the Sony one myself.

Go with Haris' recommendations, he knows more than me. I've never had a problem with Sony myself, but you do never really see any top end stuff from them!

is it worth spending the extra tenner to get the blaupunkt one as it has an extra 10w rms per channel??
not really sure if that makes it better?

Yeh it'll definitely make a difference. I'm not clued up on FLI audio though. If it's a good brand I'd definitely go for that one!
