lowering troubles

Post by robz »

The crap Scottish weather finally allowed me 2 lower my Gt last nite (3failed attempts 2 date) so relieved 2 get it dun, thoufght it wood all b plain sailing!
A set of Gmax -40mm springs with shocks wood have it sittin nice. Done the 2 rear wheels 1st (took longer than expected) but finally got them dun, so took the car off the trolley jacks & more troubles. On the arm of the shock there isn't a bit on it that would sit against the underside of the car (no idea wot this is called) so this means the full arm of the shock is free 2 cum up as far as it wants (nearly went through my back window)
Gotta go try get new 1s but dunno wot im actually lookin 4?!?!?!

lol,

you have to take it off your old shocks and springs. It'll be there, just take it off and stick it on the new ones. At least, thats for the Mk4 anyway.

yeah it turns out i had 2 take them off the old 1s, they were sooo rusted that they looked 2 be joined on 2 the old shocker. A quick blast with the hammer soon sorted that tho. Not had time 2 fin the job off yet, 2 busy working.

Hopefully get it fin 2day if the weather allows.
