Newbie!!!

Post by Bouff »

Hi All,

Just bought my first car (after spending years sharing/paying for her cars!!)

Got a Mark 4 Polo 1.0L and am so pleased with it. Surprisingly nippy considering it is only a one litre.

Ive been reading the forum and got some really good ideas, don't want to go mad but will just personalise it a little. Yea, I bet that's what they all say! It's a slippery slope!

Cheers.

It's red but just trying to find out the "proper" name for the colour as i need to do a few touch ups, the front spoiler needs to be replaced. It's rusted through but bought a brand new one for £19.00 !!

Anyway, the paint code is LC3M and, searching on the internet, it's told me the colour is memoryrot! Think this could be the german name for it though, doesn't sound very appealing does it.

Any ideas where to look?

The Colour Code was on the sticker inside the boot, also on the sticker on the inside cover of the Service Log.

Rang the main dealer, quoted the code and he told me the colour! They quoted me £10.04 +vat for a tin of paint and a laquer. Doesn't seem a horrendous price so shall probably spray my bumper over the weekend, also have a tiny ding to bang out on the rear bumper.

Washed and Waxed it today, came up beautifully. My wife joked that she had heard of a Golf Widow but never a Polo Widow!!

Get used to it darlin'! :D
