during the recent wet weather my car has turned into a ornamental pond, only need a few fish and it will be perfect! anyway can someone please help me stop the water getting in, its in the passenger footwell.

any ideas?

I bet you will find the foam rubber seal round the bottom of the pollen filter housing has rotted away and that is allowing the water in

right where is the pollen filter? can this let in a fair amount of H2O? because its not just a little damp its soaked!

pollen filter is in the top right corner under the scuttle panel

buy some mastic silicon sealent remove the pollen filter housing and re seal it!
thats what we do at vw as the seals are crap even the new ones!
plus vw charge £110 2 do it :cry:

or it could be the drain from the air conditoning evapourator the condensation it produces could be trickling back inside the car if the drain is blocked or trapped

Door drains could be blocked. I have this wierd problem in mine, where, when it rains really heavy, water comes in under the door cards - wierd I know and I cant seem to stop it!!

The water is coming in just below the speaker, in-between the bottom of the door and the rubber seal.

how can i stop the f***ing stuff!?

Thats just like mine! like the bottom of the door card is wet and it trickles down the carpet onto the floor ye?

yep, you can just see a dribble of water when you open the door a have a closer look.

Hmm Im gonna have my door card off next week when its back from being fixed and sort this out - ill let you know how it goes!

May not be the same but my mates Leon has the same problem.

He took his door card off and the drains in the doors were blocked, so a quick prod un-blocked them and the problem was fixed!?

Ive stuck a screwdriver up the drain and it seems clear - this is what i cant understand!
