spraying dash board

hello lads, i am very tempted to yank my dash out and give it a spray black to go with the rest of the interior, BUT what will happen if i sand it down abit and what spray should i use, cause its that vinyl material???

anyone done it??

Don't sand it! That vinyl will be damaged and look like crap afterwards. There's a bloke over here from our club who did this, I'm not to fond of the result to be true, looks kind of "I'm trying to get a dark dash, but was to cheap-arse to just buy me one from the scrappy" to me. Just pick one up at a scrapper, there plenty of them over here in Holland, so should be in the UK too I guess

yeah but i do any of the mk4;s have a black dash???? i have never seen any though, i have been to scrappys and they all have the same mingin grey one

Yeah they do. There are three colours - black, dark grey and light grey. Light grey is horrible but the dark grey and black is nice.

Here you got a exemple on a black 6N dash,the car is a 6N 16v with Open Air and Colour concept yellow.

Like stated and pictured above: yes, there are mk4 with a black dashboard. Just keep your eyes open, try Ebay, call some crappers in your region and you should find a decent one for a decent price.

just been on cp avin a look and came accros a guy who sprayed his dash cream, i think it looks good, even though mine is goin black heres the link if u want to look
