My little 1.0 polo

Post by trav »

sounds weeeeak when it gets high in the rev counter it sounds in pain, (i dont have any engine problems) this is just because its a slow 1.0.

i saw the geezers thread about induction kits, few of my mates reccommended one, they said it'd sound better? or exhasust systems? i dont want anything chavvy, just for my car to sound nicer!

any other ideas? :)

I'll show you my 1.0L saturday Trav, it picks up pretty well, i've had loads of people ask what engine it is. lol. To say its only 50Bhp, it's nippy as hell.

ill tell you what i was pretty impressed by the little 1.0L. my sster has gotten one. the revs last out for donkeys compared to my 1.4. whether this i because its struggling to push it all along or its because t has something just well.. special about it i dont know lol

hmmm my 1.0 left my 1.4 behind on the straight. I find the 1.4 has the power but it doesn't use it...

My 1.4 goes up to 90mph and is tired and can't go on. Yet the 1.0 went to 115 before I got pulled

A new back box will make it sound better not like an electric motor, induction kits will be a waste of time, best thing is just a cold feed.

Whole system would be pointless, might even cause a loss of performance especially on the 1.0, just get the back box to stop it sounding electric :)

^^ De-cat if you don't worry about emissions lol.

Should sound great and increase performance.

i have to admit, i only ever really rev it when im alone, the lawnmower effect never was that popular. then again, i dont actually think mine sounds like a 1.0, but i could be wrong. and they pull like stink, torquey gearing ftw!
