Quickie: What order to change my brake parts

Gave my polo a once over last week and found that nearly all the brake comps need changing - discs, pads, shoes and fluid. Have all the parts and my trusty Haynes manual but just wondering if it makes life easier to do it in any particular order? Fluid or parts first? Front before back? Any tips would be great. Also is a 500ml bottle of brake fluid enough for a fluid change. The haynes doesn't give brake fluid capacity and 500ml seems very small!!!

try free off all the bleed nipples first. they may break.

then might want to add a few wheel cylinders to your parts list lol

you think I should change the wheel cylinders too?

check them first to make surse they aint leaking. if they aint try crack off the bleed nipple they sometimes break and if they do is easier to get a new cylinder

May aswel do the disc's, pads, shoes and drums then do the fluid, you'll end up bleeding in a wheel order anyway, unless you have an air bleeder.

or you could bleed first then any fluid you get anywhere wont be on new brakes.

or could strip all the old brakes off, do the fluid then build back up with new brakes

Your second idea sounds better.

plus, use brake and clutch cleaner if you spill fluid.
