Just picked up my TDi and thought I'd join up here
I have done a few installs before in previous cars, so have a fair idea of some thing but there is something puzzling me.
I know when you swap a HU out you have to watch the perm live cables config', to ensure station memory is not lost, but this seems different.
Different because the HU is an OE Beta, and everytime I switch on, the memory is not there from what I programmed in. Plus the Bass and Treble default to way higher than I set it.
It seems wierd because there is some sort of memory there, as it defaults to London stations, and not the Kent ones I programmed, and not just the usual blank channels.
I'll probably get round next year to swapping it out for something better, but in the meantime, can anyone shed some light as to why this Beta may be going a bit t**s up??
