Go on the clubgtiworcs.com site then to the forum, we're all going down in convoy the thread is at the top here if you're lazy like me and can't be assed to search: http://www.clubgtiworcs.com/modules.php ... wforum&f=6.
Got my G40 now, and I got a place on display by the edge of the strip apparently.

Woah - only just noticed this is this weekend   - work's been so bad for the last few weeks, I'd completely missed this...

I'll *try* to get down. Car might not be clean, though....

Deek.

To answer madmatt's question even though im not going :)

Apparently the a14 is rotten with speed traps (there's not many on the section i'm used to, but then i don't go far along - and there are a couple at least) and last time i saw mention of that subject some convoy organisers - maybe not on this site - stated that there were no plans to travel above any posted speed limit. The police, believe it or not, are not totally ignorant to the fact that inters is going on and will be out in force behind every bush with pound signs and thoughts of promotion on their minds :) Besides i've tried that section of the road in a hurry before and its just impossible, getting to 70 is pain enough most of the time because of traffic and nonces.
(Was half asleep last time I went past Kettering on the A14 - as a passenger - but I seem to remember a remarkable proliferation of bright amber boxes beside the road after that point - as its a major channel towards Stansted, late people will throw the law to the wind and cane it - and a thought of "chance would be a fine thing" 10 or so miles later as we were in a mega sub-30mph tailback that was merely because of persistent local traffic rather than any accident... a bit like trying to hustle between the west brom and water orton junctions of the m6... aint ever gonna happen! )

Anyway dude, that would so ruin your weekend, getting points, just in order to arrive a few minutes before anyone else in the chain ;)

That whole area of England is just nasty for cameras on the whole, its worse even than north Wales (well... most of it), not worth taking the chance if your mind is likely to be on other things ie watching for turnoffs, keeping with the "pack".
