the car was a sound base, with good paint and a decent place to start from, the car was full of small scratches from his dogs and from parking it in a busy street in southport with work
i viewed the car the week before the detail and we agreed a package to suit his needs
anyway, less talk and more pics, i know thats what we all like anyway
so, a before of the most major scratch

a before of the wheels, now believe it or not, he has always taken it to a drive in drive out handwash place who have used some kind of acid wheelcleaner, and they had left the wheels looking so dated and aged, leaving behind almost a black tar that was un movable by washing, and 3 out of 4 of my wheel cleaners

and another before

and another

and another

and another

bonnet done and corrected

interior all done, just needing hoovering

front

rear

side on

after first pass, 2 masked areas needing further attention

wheels after

scratch removed

frontal and side

rear and side

the pics do the car no justice, as it was foggy being close to the sea, it came up remarkably well, removing the milky film it had seemed to have hiding the lusture, breathing new life in to the paint
total time for correction and protection, 10.5 hours
marc was over the moon with the results knowing his newly restored cars paint was safe again and protected for winter and a top up package was agreed for a quarterly basis
process was
wash, snow foam, rinse, clay snow foam and rinse again
all machine work done with my megs g220 DA used at variable speeds to polish cut and correct
wet sanding with 2000 grit used wet and soapy
2 passes with menzerna intensive polish on a megs polishing pad
2 passes with menzerna final finish spritzed with QD for lubrication
2 layers of collinite 915 by hand and a further layer of zymol carbon to really leave that wet look to the finish, finished with field glaze
blacking treated with zymol vinyl, interior all washed and treated,
all glass treated with zymol glass
and an auto smart freshner to finish off
please excuse the pics were off my phone as my camera went flat, as i plugged the lead in to the camera the night before, just not the camera in to the wall, DOH
any interest on the same or a similar process doing to any polo owners, or memberes with other cars, just pm me
