alarm keeps going off ?!?!

Post by colour_concept »

Need some help ppl.

for the past week or so my alarm just randomly keeps going off. Its strange as this only happen once i have for example gone out, parked up, turned the alarm on, then a about a minute later it goes off.

Once i turn off the siren using the keyfob and turn on the alarm again it works fine.

Happens bout once every 2 days or so. And only happens about a minute after i have parked up and activated the alarm. It never goes off all of a sudden or during the night or anything. Ive checked the keyfob thinking maybe the button or summin is jammed causing it to trigger the alarm but the button is fine.

I have a dealer fit VW alarm which is a scorpion 1315-T2. Are there any other sensors in the car? Ive checked the two on both the a-pillars and all seems fine.

Its wierd as the EXACT same thing happens all the time. It only goes off about a minute after ive activated it. once ive disabled the siren and re-activated the alarm it all works fine.

any suggestion??

All the doors are wired in, including the boot. Check the rear washer pipe.

checked the rear washer pipe and its still sealed.

any suggestions on where i can start looking? does the scorpion alarm have a system whereby the LED flashes a certain number of times to indicate why it went off?
