Autodata's whats it called lol, been trying to explain it all this time!

Like we said you can't get one wheel aligned. Just say the other side wasn't straight; this wheel would have to be slightly bent just to compensate for the other wheel to run straight. Therefore neither wheel is straight and your tyres blemish quicker.

Tell the garage to align both wheels at no extra cost because that's what they should've done in the first place.

Everything that you guys are saying makes perfect sense to me. Sadly it doesn't seem to make sense to the garage!!
I guess what they are saying is that they just set the n/s wheel in relation to the o/s assuming the o/s to be where it should be. Doesn't sound very thorough to me and not what we asked them or paid them to do. Thing is although i agree that they should redo the job for free, i've lost faith in them and don't feel like letting them touch the car again. Them saying that they'll just move the steering wheel sounds ham fisted and amateur.
I watched the tracking being laser set on my old mini and that was done in the way you guys describe. I reckon this garage just used a piece of bloody string!!!

Yep they should do it free but you might as well go somewhere else even though it would cost you again. They assumed the O/S/F was aligned correctly which is just the problem. Anyway, get it sorted by another garage and let us know what happens mate.
